Tape Resist Career Self Portrait Name Monogram

Students will be able to recognize the technique of tape resist art by constructing an artwork based on their initial and then wiping off the excess color to reveal the letter. They will finish their name in smaller letters on a rectangular piece of paper that slides in and out of a slit on the side of the bubble letter to reveal their full name. Lastly, they will create a self-portrait of themselves grown up and write their career aspirations. A learning objective, subject summary and application in real life, materials needed for each student and the step by step directions needed to create this lesson are all detailed in each of my lesson plans.
