’Primary Languages’ looks at how primaries will be required to introduce a language to the curriculum and one school’s efforts.
Almeley Primary, in rural Herefordshire, is delivering French despite having fewer than 80 pupils. With only GCSE French as her language background, teacher, Alex Hallinan, has developed her language skills through courses and personal study and is teaching Year 4 -6s.
Follow Alex and her class through a French lesson, talking about the school and the people within it, including songs, a language refresher, sentence work and group work.
