This series of 18 lessons accounts for a Half Term of planning and is ideal for introducing students to key Media Language fundamentals. It can be delivered at any stage (first half-term is preferred) and introduces students to the start of the RAIL key concepts (Representation, Audience, Industry and Media Language), forming a solid basis for analysis/study of the set texts. My department delivers this for the 1st Half Term of our 3 year GCSE and then the rest of RAIL and a mini-project in Half Term 2 of the Winter term. These sessions are also great as taster sessions for Options groups. This bundle includes:
LESSON 1-2, INDUCTION AND PLATFORMS
LESSON 3-6, CODES AND CONVENTIONS
LESSON 7-8, WRITTEN CODES, ANCHORAGE AND LAYOUT
LESSON 9-14, TECHNICAL AND AUDIO CODES
LESSON 15 CHEKHOV’S GUN
LESSON 16 CHIARSCURO LIGHTING
LESSON 17-18, STEVE NEALES REP AND DIFFERENCE
ALL POWER POINTS INCLUDE EMBEDDED VIDEOS, WORKSHEETS/WORK SLIDES AND DETAILED NOTES ON DELIVERY IN THE NOTE SECTION

A fantastic set of resources/PPTs for the first half term of teaching Media Studies. This is an in-depth start to the course, but with easy to follow lessons and is engaging and interesting! Superb and well worth the money!
