This project was used at my school for Year 7 in the first term but would be suitable for weaker students in Year 8 and 9 or equally, Year 5/6 students as it is differentiated. It gets students to imagine that they are stranded on an Island and then have to use their imaginations to create their own Islands and creatures!
It is a full scheme of 10+ lesson with homework and resources at the end of each lesson. There are differentiated lessons with challenge and support material throughout.
