13 comprehensive reading lessons covering the book ‘The Kick Off’ which follows a group of village boys on their journey to WW2 and the famous game of football played in No mans Land.
Each lesson has elements of guided reading and independent work. All of which follow the required Year 5/6 reading skills (inferring, predicting, summarising etc)
There is a range of tasks included such as group discussion and independent writing tasks.
Each lesson is suitable to last 45 minutes to 1 hour. The text from the book is included with the slides.
