This wide range of detailed resources will interest and stretch and challenge your students. This package is specifically designed for the AQA A-level Crime Writing unit. The activities are aimed towards the assessment objectives. Some resources are annotated to guide the teacher during discussions. The package will take up approximately seven weeks' worth of lessons. I've also included exam questions and indicative content.
This is a set of notes on chapters really, no activities to base lessons around. There are quizzes to recap plot and characters which will be handy for revision. This would not provide 7 weeks of teaching for my class. Some essay question which would be helpful as a starting point if you don't know the text/unit well. Power Point with basic ideas on the genre and writer but easily found online yourself. Not great for the price paid.

Hi, I don't think these are fair comments at all. There are notes on the chapters, yes, but the questions on the handouts are there for teachers to use in activities they see fit based on the size of their classes. There are a number of activities you could use with these handouts such as learners on tour, grab'n'go, jigsaw, snowball, etc. The essay questions are questions that could easily come up in section B of the exam so are much more useful than simply a starting point. There is also indicative content for the trickier questions. Yes, some points could be found online but a lot of points on here are my own ideas in relation to the genre which cannot be found online. I think this is a small price to pay for the amount of time it will save.
