This is a complete lesson made for KS3, specifically Year 8 or Year 9 depending on if it is a two or three year course, covering the foundations on Genes and Variations. The lesson explores what genetics is and looks as the difference between DNA, genes and chromosomes.

There are two activities involved: creating a DNA bracelet and a reading task about studying the impact of our environment on our genetics using a news article.

The slides also contain two links to useful YouTube videos: The Story of Inheritance and The Work of Rosalind Franklin.
