The Smartest Giant in Town Comprehension includes differentiated questions and activities to be used in a Whole Class Reading session on the book by Julia Donaldson. The story is about a scruffy giant who wants to be look smart. He buys new clothes but on his journey home he meets different animals who need his help (and his clothes). It is a lovely story with Personal, Social and Health Education themes throughout. We recommend using this story for Year 1.

The resource was ok but it didn't seem to transfer onto word very well. Took along time to fiddle with, therefore defeating the object of buying it!
Just what I wanted- some simple written reading comp questions in a SATs style and matching type worksheets, suitable for Y1 and Y2s that need support. A couple of typos though - "sleeping back" needs changing to "sleeping bag".
