To tell a dragon Year 2

Teaching Dragon Poetry and descriptive writing to year 2 will be extra fun following this outstanding unit of work. They will begin by going on a dragon egg hunt, write a poem about what’s inside the egg, and then use the book ‘To Tell A dragon’ to write their own poems using a similar model. Suitable for the teaching of the new English curriculum and can also be easily adapted to Year 3 as the text has ambitious description.
