Topic 6 Assimilation Words Game
“Sprint Up The Missing Sound Ladders” is a game practising all the different sound units that make up an assimilation word. Players have to complete words by filling in the first, middle and end sound. Sound units are colour coded and word building skills are incorporated as are reading and spelling skills. Assimilation sounds reviewed are /mp/, /nt/, /nk/, /nd/, /ng/ and /nch/.
