You are a Government Official on a mission to find out how to best help your country through the challenges presented trying to develop a profitable and sustainable tourism industry.
This board game helps students understand the life cycle of an area involved in tourism. It is based on the Tourism Area Life Cycle (Butler) Model. This game introduces a lot of technical terminology in context, encouraging deeper understanding of the links between decisions and outcomes in managing an area where tourism is important.
These resources are ideal for determining student understanding of the intricacies of the changing nature of tourism, but equally could be used to introduce the concepts from scratch, especially with more able classes.
