Tutankhamen Discovery Story

The Water Boy and the Tomb by Elizabeth Heath provides a fictional account, in rhyme, of the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb, the Centenary of which will be celebrated this November.
This delightfully illustrated book tells of a young water boy and his playful antics, which finally directs Howard Carter to his greatest discovery. The book will support children in both Key Stage 1 and 2 within Ancient Egyptian topic work as well as inspiring a variety of written responses to the book itself.
