This lesson is perfect for exploring how intertextuality is used in the media industry. In this pack there is a main powerpoint and a full student worksheet. This resource is perfect for the Creative Digital Media Production exam Unit 1: Media Representations, but can also be used with any exam board where students need to learn about why intertextuality is used by media producers at both level 2 and level 3.
Really great resource that has saved me a lot of time! Thank you! However, I was just wondering if you could tell me what intertextual references the film clips are making - I have no idea! Thank you!

Hi emorgan2307, I'm glad you like the resource. The intertextual references for the clips are on the slides that follow them. For example the fight clip on slide 11, uses the wrestling move of the Rock found on slide 12. The Star Wars clip on slide 13 is referencing the scene from the Lion King on slide 14. This follows on throughout the powerpoint. The student version requires students to find their own intertextual references, possibly from films that they have seen. I hope this helps?
