This resource consists of two outstanding lessons rolled into one Power Point. Lessons are designed to last for an hour each, however they can be adapted to suit 50 minutes or stretched into double lessons depending on your chosen length of activities and extension tasks. This is designed to support BTEC level 3 HSC students. However, it could also be used to inform individuals about the HSC sector in general. The lesson consists of differentiated learning outcomes based on Bloom's taxonomy, extension tasks, timings, plenaries, homework tasks, case studies and opportunities for revision for unit 1 (human lifespan) as well as unit 2 exam questions and opportunities to develop exam technique. This can be used as an example of how to structure or plan an outstanding lesson. Enjoy!
Literally a list of roles and asking students to research them independently to make a leaflet- no teaching resources or links to scaffold this for the students. There a couple of exam questions to check students understanding- I would use this as a cover lesson if you could access computers for the students. Not worth £4.00 and not useable as a lesson.

Hi KCharlotte, I apologies if you do not find this resource useful. With regards to independent research one of the barriers I have witnessed in teaching is many lessons are too student led, something educators have moved away from, I therefore encourage students to research themselves in preparation for university as this is a level 3 course; this avoids an over reliance on the teacher. Allowing students to be accountable for their learning and allowing them to be the best versions of themselves are one of the main ethos of the school I currently teach in. As it is designed for BTEC students I would assume they have access to computers as this tends to be a requirement for the majority of vocational courses. The resource also encourages students to identify, assess through research and then create based on blooms taxonomy of higher order learning. The 'create' aspect is also the highest level of thinking/learning and allows students to have their own revision resource (the leaflet, they can then revise from until their exam'. Students can also show progress through improving and developing resources they have created over time; this is also evidence of responding to feedback. My resource is not £4. In terms of scaffolding, each aspect of the lesson allows all students to progress at a higher level. If you would like further resources or links I am happy to provide that, listing the roles that students need to be aware of in my opinion is the information they need to then research independently.
