valentine's day classroom activities for ESL

This is an activity pack for the ESL or EFL classroom. It focuses on 10 key valentine’s day words and is designed to take young learners from the first introduction of the sound of the word through to being able to read it and spell it.
I have designed these activities with EFL learners in mind who are receiving a small amount of input per week. If you have only and hour or two with them and need to maximise their learning then this is for you.
If you are preparing your students for a Cambridge Young Learners exam then this is for you. These activities have been created to practise the reading and writing skills required in the Starters exam.

This activity pack can be used over two 1-hour lessons to maximise repetition or can be used in just one lesson by selecting your favourite activities and using the others for early finishers or as homework.
