Victorian's Assembly - KS2

This is a 20/25 minute assembly on Victorians. It jumps through time travel in a Tardis (with Dr Who and some companions) back to different Victorian times. There are 4 different scenes to get through including; Queen Victoria, Charles Dickens and Florence Nightengale. The children all contributed by bringing in their own costumes on the day and together they constructed and painted the ‘Tardis’ - see attached photo using cardboard and paints. There is an accompanying Ppt (with audio files included within) to go along with the playscript and a separate MP4 file with a simple but catchy song about the Victorians (we incorporated some basic movements to go along with the song, directly from the video). The children loved practising this assembly and it was perfect to promote interest in the ‘Topic’ fr the half term.
