We're going on a baddie hunt - smart notebook - Talk for Writing

This story has been adapted from the much loved ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ and I’ve used it to start out Talk for writing unit about superheros. I only used two baddies in the version as I teach in Early Years but we then used the idea to create their own version using different baddies they chose. We talked about how I changed it from the bear hunt and how they can change it with me modelling during the week and then them having a go on Friday.

The story is made using GIFs and the text underneath. I found all my children were excited about the story and we had some lovely roleplaying all through the unit. All good when you want those sort of observations.
