What is a healthy relationship?

This lesson revolves around the topics of healthy relationships and gender stereotypes. Students engage with various activities to deepen their understanding of these subjects such as:

Healthy Relationships:
Students discuss features of healthy relationships, identifying signs of an unhealthy relationship. They learn to recognize the importance of self-esteem, values, negotiation, loyalty, trust, honesty, and respect.

Features of a Relationship Activity:
Students explore features of relationships such as spending time together, knowing each other’s family and friends, common interests, open communication, humor, and healthy arguments. They consider how each feature can be either healthy or unhealthy.
