This is a simplified lesson on the causes of the American Revolution / War of Independence. Students read through 4 main factors and then complete a grid describing and explainign them. The lesson ends with a structure peer assessed paragraph answering the question ‘Why did America want to break free from Britain’. It also includes a Knowledge Organiser for our unit up to this point, which includes some background on the early British settlements in the Americas.
