The completed table could be handed out to your class with all its figures, locations and the rank one to twenty already in place. The interest will not be great. A table can be rather uninteresting. This unit involves students in a discovery process that will eventually enable them to complete the given table (attachment) and place the twenty cities on a world map.
Interest is added when students can see the visuals of each city. On each page there are clues given and they can begin to place the city in order on the partly filled-in table. The opening activity is a useful starting point.
