Whole class guided reading activities based on the graphic novel Thornhill by Pam Smy. There are 18 activities altogether that cover vocabularly, inference, predictions, explaining, retrieving, summarising, understaning, visualising, using evidence and linking to own experiences. There are 3 activities a week which allows for shared reading and class reading. The unit lasts 6 weeks.

These are planned for a Year 4 class but are suitable for 5/6 too.
