A complete unit of work to use alongside sketchbooks to build a progression of skills to inform design choices and end product. Children will have the opportunity to look at work and art of William Morris and the techniques he adopted. Children will research and plan work using sketch books and use ideas to create an end print of a flower. The sketchbooks will allow the children to explore, colour, shape, patterns and practice techniques. They will also have the opportunity to use ICT software to create wallpaper designs. They will then evaluate using ‘design, refine, develop’ success criteria.
