This Lesson focusses on the importance of correctly wired plugs and the role of fuses. Students undertake a practical that involves correctly rewiring a plug. Students also witness a teacher demo of a simple fuse to show how they 'melt' to cause a break in the circuit and thus keep appliances safe during electrical surges. For use with y7 Key Stage 3 or can be used as part of GCSE Electricity work as a foundation/introductory lesson.
