This is a completed spreadsheet model for WJEC Unit 2 Controlled Assignment Task 6 - Modelling example for the School Quiz, and the documentation to go with it.
It contains all the the required processes and success criteria in terms of Basic and Advanced skills that pupils need to show according to the mark planner for this unit. Including:
Modelling - Task 6 (14 Marks)
1. Create a spreadsheet model to enable the Head of Year to:
~ Store details of quiz members in year 7 and Year 8;
~ Store the answers given by each pupil to the quiz questions as a, b or c.
2. Your spreadsheet must be able to:
~ allocate the points awarded for each individual answer for each pupil;
~ add up the total points for each pupil;
~ add up the total points for pupils in each different year group.
3. You must produce a suitable sorted list of all pupils, with the total points in descending order.

4. You must produce a graph of total points for each pupil.
5. The spreadsheet should compare the total points for each year group and automatically output a message saying which year group had the most points, and won the competition.
6. Include any features you think will be helpful to the Head of Year in using the spreadsheet to calculate totals or display results.
• Complete the spreadsheet using basic and advanced skills.
• Check it for accuracy or implausible data.
• Screenshot or printout the whole of your spreadsheet in data and formula view (Only for paper submissions).
• Write an explanation of the data, formulas, functions or any other features you have used.
Task 7 (2 marks)
Use this spreadsheet to do at least two ‘what if’ investigations.
(i) One of your ’what if’ investigations may just change an item of numerical data. You must describe the purpose of your investigation and what was the result of your investigation.
(ii) The other ‘what if’ investigation must alter an existing formula. You must describe the purpose of your investigation and what was the result of your investigation.
