Interesting but must be kept in context with reality. This viewpoint is an interesting one to debate in light of what appears to be happening to women and girls today in some muslim countries. Girls are threatened and intimidated if they try to become educated; women and girls are executed, frequently by stoning, for what appear to our western sensibilities to be the flimsiest reasons - a 15 year old girl was hanged recently; and the papers have just reported the high number of women murdered in Turkey by their families. Perhaps the human interpretation of divine ruling is not always as accurate as that deity might wish!
