Word of the Week LKS2

A handy resource for your room based on the National Curriruclum common exception words for Year 3&4.

This has a selection of the words from the list which I created for my class, Year 4, but could also be used in Year 3!

The words have been divided into terms
Autumn-Red
Spring- Blue
Summer- Green

I will be using to teach 1 word a week from the packs discussing the word, its definition and how it can be used in a sentence/quesiton/speech/scenario.

Each word has its definition please note I kept some parts of the definitions out as the language was very sophisticated or the example was too sophisiticated for my class it’s up to you whether you wish to include your in your own.

The words have their classification N: noun V: verb Adj: adjective Adv: adverb etc

I display mine above my IWB in full view of the class and try to incorporate into writing etc for the week! Chidlren will be tested on these as a baseline in September then again in July to monitor progress.
