WW1 Autograph Book
This is my Grandfather’s First World War Autograph book and a very treasured possession. Due to its age this book does contain writings that would be considered controversial today.
However it gives a unique opportunity to see autographs collected in 1918 and a rare insight into how people felt at the time. Some of the images are not politically correct and you may need to choose which ones to share with your class.

• This Autograph Book belonged to my Grandfather so it is very special to me.
• He fought in France from January 1915-October 1918.
• This Autograph book was written 1918.
• Some entries are funny, some are sad and some make you think.
• There are also some lovely drawings, one ‘The Coming Generation’ refers to the formation of the RAF.
