Year 1 Phonics- Alternative u

I have used the letters and sounds scheme to help structure the phonics input. This is the full lesson for Year 1 and 2. Suitable for Year 1 and 2 and lower KS2 for lower ability students.
Children will practise words (including alien words) and sentences using the focus sound.
Words are presented with images so it’s more inclusive for the classroom. Ideal for use as a full lesson, consolidation or for interventions.

Children can apply writing using the graphemes on whiteboards or notebooks.
The first part is teaching.
Children practise the writing when they see the pencil. When writing, children see the picture first to help them segment the word.
