Year 2 Autumn Block 1 Place Value - Linking to White Rose Small Steps - All resources 2018 UPDATED

4.9.18 - I have updated these files based on my teaching experience last year and the new 2018/9 TAF. I have added a little more detail and adapted some of the resources. There are 10 lessons in total with all the resources provided. I have chosen not to include the ‘partitioning in different ways’ as I found that my children struggled with this at this point in the year. I have included PDF versions of each file if you are having problems with the word documents and the flipchart is also included as a PDF. My intention is to go through all my units and update them in this way. If you have already purchased this resource, you will be able to download the new resources for no additional charge.

This is the planning that I have produced for my own class. I have used the White Rose Small Steps tracker to guide the planning. There are 12 fully planned lessons in total with 3 planned sessions for review/assessment/intervention I have produced resources to accompany each. All of the resources are included. The worksheets are very visual and are differentiated across 2, 3 or 4 ways - clearly labelled on the top of each worksheet. We use a cursive font at our school and the terms ‘WALT’ and ‘WILF’ but these are word documents so this could be easily changed once you have downloaded the resources. Many lessons have extension/greater depth activities which are also differentiated. I have also included my flipchart. Produced with ActivInspire but again I believe that it can be converted for Smartboard or powerpoint. The flipchart contains 47 pages for the 12 lessons. Lots of visual images and questions. This has taken a great deal of time to produce so I would welcome feedback. We started back on 24/9/17 so we are already well into this unit. It is going well, though I am thankful for the planned opportunities for review/assessment and intervention!
