Children explore a variety of myths and enjoy the mythical creatures introduced in Can You Catch A Mermaid?, The Seal Children and Beowulf.

They learn these tales and use them as stimuli for creating their own myths and legends. They use the texts as models to help develop their understanding of detailed description in writing and correct grammar.

I went onto this and I thought I would receive the full piece of text as my child is studying this in school and they had it as a listening exercise and questions to finish for homework. Personally, I believe this is absolutely ridiculous as my son had no clue on where to start. Is there a way I can get the passage without paying £6.99 for the full book? I am a parent and I believe this is not my job and the school should supply a copy of this for us. For an 8 year old, this book is very immature as I have read reviews of this and even 3 year olds and reading this! Sorry for a rant but I am upset with the school. If anybody could help, this would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Well thought out plans with links to SPAG. I'll be doing some phonics separately though.
