Year 3 Addition- mental and written addition resources

This whole unit of work is perfect for developing mental addition methods using knowledge of place value and the introduction of written methods. The resources are progressive and gradually move on from mental methods, to using practical resources alongside place value grid,s to introducing the expanded column method and then a more formal written method.

The resources are differentiated and progressive and each unit contains:
