Year 3&4 7 week RE Planning on Islam

7 week plan (word document) containing 1 hour lessons aimed at Year 3&4 Islam R.E covering the following overall objectives:
Identify religious aretefacts, how and why they are used.
Describe religious buildings and explain how they are used.
Explain some of the religious practices of both clerics and individuals.

Each weekly objective is below.
Week 1 – Getting better at identifying and labelling features of a Mosque.
Week 2 – Getting better at understanding the features of a Mosque.
Week 3 – Getting better at understanding how Muslims prepare for prayer.
Week 4 – Getting better at investigating why pilgrimages are important.
Week 5 – Getting better at investigating and comparing different religious pilgrimages.
Week 6 – Getting better at understanding the beliefs of the Muslim community.
Week 7 – Getting better at understanding how Muslims pass on their beliefs to their children.
