Year 5/6 Expected and Greater Depth - Area, Perimeter and Four Operations Problem Solving

Problem solving task to stretch children working at either expected levels or greater depth.

This can be done either as a group, partnered or individual exercise and gives a workout of the following skills:

• area
• perimeter
• the four operations
• money
• application of skills - where and when to apply a certain operation

Some aspects of task may require some support from an adult or more able peer - particularly at the lower end of y5.
