Model, and model plan supporting children to write a first person story based on the eruption at Pompeii AD79. The written model and the model plan are colour coordinated so that the children can relate the plan directly to the text.
The story is called Escaping Gentle Mountain and is designed to include 3 characters of the author’s choice. Advice on how to create these characters is contained in the video clip.
The video was created to aid children during the lockdown, so this may work well as a holiday writing project.
