This English unit of work runs over 6 weeks and is based around the book ‘Stories from the Silk Road.’ It is the best way that I have found to enliven the topic ‘Islamic Civilisations’ and ensure that children learn deeply about it and this year, we taught it online, so it works well remotely. The plans include starters, main teaching, activities and differentiation, and I have uploaded all of the worksheets that I made to go alongside the unit.
