Year 5 Sentence Starters Unit Pack - Henry VIII Theme (adaptable)

A fully resourced Literacy Unit (8 lessons) with detailed plan, daily Promethean (ActivInspire) flip charts and resources. The unit focuses on developing the ability to start sentences in a variety of ways through identifying, and composing sentences with different starters (Verb ‘ing’ clause, Adverb ‘ed’ or ‘ly’, use a feeling, use a simile or metaphor, use a subordinating conjunction and a noun or adjective). Children can there showcase there learning in a sustained write in Lesson 7 & 8.

To use commas to clarify meaning or avoid ambiguity in writing.
