This is a Year 6 PSHE and Citizenship lesson about relationships, which focuses on developing strategies for cooperating, collaborating and compromising in the classroom. Children will discuss why cooperation, collaboration and compromise are so important, before reviewing ways of putting these principles into practise. A collaborative group task is also provided to reinforce the learning from the lesson.
The lesson is aimed at Year 6 but could also be used across upper Key Stage 2. It is fully resourced with planning and relevant supporting materials.
The timing of the lesson is approximately 45 – 60 minutes, but, depending on your PSHE timetabling, it can also be easily split into a pair of thirty-minute sessions.
