This is a Year 6 Taster Day lesson based on the artist Jason Scarpace
We photocopied a variety of fish templates onto A3 cartridge paper and also gave AMA students the opportunity to draw their own outline. They then used x3 different techniques (art/textiles) to add colour, texture and pattern to their templates in the style of Scarpace.
This was our equipment list:
• watercolour palettes
• pencils
• black fine liners
• acrylic paint - all colours
• paint palettes for acrylic
• paint brushes
• sponges, scrapers, glue spreaders, palette knives
• Bubble wrap
• brown paper (1m piece)
• glue sticks
• scissors (left and right)
• colouring pencils
• sharpeners & rubbers
• newspaper
• cardboard - selection of various pieces
• sewing thread & needles - larger sized needles please & thread to match
• two hair dryers

What an amazing lesson! I am going to try it with my Year 4 class next half-term as it fits beautifully with our theme (oceans) and what we have worked on so far in art. Thank you very much for making it available to all.
Really inspiring resource, thank you.<br />
Hard to read the font in some slides. However it looks great... will use it thanks
