Pupils need advice on healthy relationships, but they also need advice on how to get out of unhealthy ones and what to do if their ex-partner will not stop pursuing them. This is stalking and is an enormous problem.
This animated video features two friends discussing the behaviour of an ex-partner. This is correctly recognised as stalking, safety advice is given, and the victim is supported in making a police report. The aim of the video is to raise awareness of seemingly ‘low risk’ behaviours and encourage pupils to seek help.
The video is a good starting point for discussion and can be used in conjunction with our lessons on preventing stalking and coercive behaviour. We hope that it will help victims recognise stalking for what it is and that it will help friends and family to support them and give good advice.
