Yr 7 Letter to my Future Self (Start of the Year)

This resource is designed for a year 7 (mixed ability) group to get the year started. It can also be adapted for other years.

Students write a letter to their future self, drawing upon their knowledge of letter writing, its purpose and other creative writing conventions.

Learning objectives:
-To understand the expectations of Year 7 English
-To establish a base line of students’ creative writing skills.

Resources needed for this lesson:
-An empty sheet of A6/A5 paper.
-A whiteboard
-Red pens for student improvements.
