Music Theory - MODULATION in MUSIC

(0)
Modulation in music can be a difficult concept for some students to grasp. This is why I have created this resource! It takes the students step by step through an easy method of understanding modulation and how to incorporate it into their composition work. This resource makes teaching modulation easy. With explanation slides, examples, student worksheets, practical activities and answer sheets, students are guided to understand this often confusing music concept step-by-step. This 26-page file that covers modulation in MAJOR KEYS only, to the dominant, subdominant and relative minor keys. The file contains: FIVE exercises ask students to write out the dominant, subdominant and relative minor of a given key and state the accidental/s that need to occur. A teaching slide explaining V7 chords ONE page of exercises where students name and notate the V7 chord of the specified keys Teaching slides to explain pivot chords FOUR pages of exercises where students discover and name the common chords of the specified keys. Two methods for finding the common chords are explained. ONE page example/explanation for completing the practical exercises. FOUR written and practical activities where students create and perform an 8-bar progression that modulates. ANSWER KEYS for the student exercises are provided. ♥ CLICK here to check out more quality, ready-to-use resources from the MTR store!
