Great resource pack for Remembrance activities – particularly about why we use the Poppy as a symbol of Remembrance. Included: • In Flanders Field Poem by John McCrae with written commentary. • Information Sheet re: the history of the poppy as a symbol of remembrance. • Information Sheet on Remembrance Day. Also included: • A simple cross stitch pattern to use with KS2 pupils, although may be suitable for upper K2 also. (Cross Stitch Poppy Additional Information: The colour cross stitch pattern chart is on a pdf. This has coloured crosses. Each cross is equal to one cross stitch. I have also included some basic cross stitch information/instructions and a photograph of the finished picture. The pattern is stitched on 6 count binca material.)
