It is based on a short text about a person’s job. This is one of a series of present simple lessons. It is the second resource I have about jobs. Jobs #2 (this one) is a bit more difficult than the original Jobs, but they compliment each other. The lesson integrates speaking, listening, reading and writing and covers a lot of core elementary language. As in all my lessons, the language is presented in a context that is relevant to adult students with language that they will be able to use in their everyday lives. This is a grammar focused lesson for adult ESL students with a mix of written and spoken practise. It is designed for students who are intermediate level and above. It focuses on the form/structure and use of the passive voice. It is a low prep/ready to go lesson with content that is interesting and relevant for adult students. This lesson can be used with a class - there are opportunities for differentiation if necessary; as an independent learning package or with online students. Activities are a mix of individual, pair and group work.
