This is a Bundle of 4 grammar focused lesson for Adult ESL students who are Intermediate level and above. If you need to teach Past Perfect Tense, Passive Voice, 2nd Conditional and 3rd Conditional to you adult ESL students, this bundle is for you.
These lessons are 4 of the most challenging grammar points that are taught at Intermediate level and above, both for students and teachers. The lessons are structured and with this step by step approach and detailed lesson notes and answer keys, I have made it easy for you to teach.
I suggest you begin with the Past Perfect Tense as that introduces past participles which are needed and reviewed in all the other lessons. All of the lessons have a grammar guide, written and spoken activities to practice the target language and many opportunities for differentiation.

I use these lessons with a mixed ability beginner adult ESL class. It is an integrated reading, writing, speaking and listening lesson on the topic of goals, using the present simple tense.

Phrasal verbs are something that high level intermediate or advanced learners find challenging to understand or use. In some exams such as IELTS students need some familiarity with phrasal verbs to get a high score. I created this resource to use with one to one online IELTS students but it’s adaptable to any situation.

Activity 1 - a gap fill activity to insert the missing phrasal verb
