A home learning sheet with instructions for parents about how to use advent calendars to improve early maths skills. There is also instructions for children to make their own advent calendar.
12 home learning activities covering different areas of maths in a Christmas festive theme.
Activities are all fun and practical and can be done easily at home with items commonly found in a house. There is information for parents to help them facilitate the activities too. Activities include baking, making shape pictures, counting decorations.

I asked children to choose 2 activities per week to complete and put an observation on Tapestry but you could alter this to suit your needs. Good to send out if children are away, isolating or if the class is shut, or just as regular home learning to support work done in class.

For a teacher, independent activities like this are AMAZING to just sit back and watch (until the cooking part!).
