1 hour, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2 which serves as an introduction to FGM. Pupils will explore the idea of a rite of passage before investigating what FGM is, how it maims girls and why this ritual is still performed today. Pupils will also be made aware of how to access help and report any suspicions or worries they have about FGM affecting a friend or themselves.
The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is designed to be ‘no prep’, so you can just pick it up and use it, although it is still adaptable should you wish to.

1 hour, fully resourced lesson which provides an overview and introduction to Mormonism , The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, as an alternative religious movement. It compares the validity of Mormon beliefs to non-Mormon Christian ones and investigates the story of Joseph Smith, the founder. It examines Mormonism today and criticisms as well as the Church in the words of believers.
The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is useful for RE or History, or could be used as a standalone lesson as something different for a drop-down-day. As with all our lessons, you don’t need any prior knowledge as all the information is included - you can just pick up and teach it.
The pack includes a 1 hour long PowerPoint, differentiated challenge activities, worksheets, clips and literacy focus tasks. These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow.

A fun and creative RE project lesson for students in the last week of term. Could be used for activities week in Humanities or just as a reward lesson the last time you see your class for the summer.
Very easy to set up - you will just need a few balloons, string, sellotape, cereal packets, felt tips and a any other boxes/construction materials you can find (just things that would usually be thrown in the recycling). The students work in small groups to research and recreate a famous religious landmark (info sheets and clip tasks included - all instructions on Powerpoint). The lesson can last as long as you want it to, and I gave prizes of sweets at the end for the best one - but that’s optional! My students really enjoyed it and we took pictures at the end for the school website.

|Consent and Law KS4 PSHE - 1 hour, fully resourced lesson which establishes the importance of consent and clear sexual boundaries. It investigates the different types of sexual crimes and provides case studies for analysis. The lesson includes an hour long PowerPoint with accompanying worksheets, well differentiated activities, literacy focus tasks, clip tasks with three-way differentiated questions and information sheets.
The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is useful for PSHE / RSE or Tutor Time for KS4. As with all our lessons, you don’t need any prior knowledge as all the information is included - you can just pick up and teach it.

For the Gatsby Careers Guidelines - A careers assembly lasting around 20-25 minutes (including short clip) with a focus on why Careers Education is so important and how students can make the most of all the opportunities presented to them whilst in school. The assembly examines the cases of two fictional ex-students, Alisha and Jack, who didn’t take Careers Education seriously and ended up paying the price for it by adding years on to their lives in the time it took them to eventually find their ideal jobs. The slides in the previews are just a sample and not the whole assembly.
The assembly includes optional interactive elements, a 4 minute clip, a lot of motivational information, questions for students to answer and a little humour.

The assembly emphasises the value of hard work in achieving your aims, explains why teachers always set high targets and gives inspirational examples of famous and non-famous success stories from people who have worked hard.

A 90 mins - 2 hours fully-resourced PSHCE lesson all about the importance of critical thinking and being able to spot and debunk fake news. Students will begin by studying a dubious social media post, before learning all the skills and new terminology they need to take it apart, analyse it and be critical of it through comparison with a variety of credible sources (included).
This has been created to fit with the new PSHE Association guidelines but would also be useful as a Citizenship or Media lesson. It lasts roughly 90 minutes if all tasks completed.
