The aim is for children to make their own alien words using a dice and the chart appropriate to the phase they are working on. There is board for Phase 2, 3 and 5 and a recording sheet. How to play: Roll the dice. Find the number you have rolled on the first box. Chose a sound and write it on your sheet under 1st. Roll it again and find the number you have rolled in the second box. Chose a sound and write it under 2nd. Roll it a last time. Find the number you have rolled in the third box. Chose a sound and write in on your sheet under 3rd. Ask your partner to read your alien word. If they can read it give them a P. If they can’t give them a X. Now its your partners turn. UPDATED This pack has been redesigned and now includes a Set 2 Board Game and three versions of the word lotto (black, sound underlined and sound in colour) Each sound has its own bingo board apart from oy and air which are combined. Use in pairs and pupils take turn to 'Fred Talk' the word for their partner to find and colour. Or sound out a word and children colour the word in or give each children a different board and call out words from a bag. Could even be used to send home to practice. There are different words from RWI so children have more opportunity to practice the sounds.

There is a cake for each Phase 2 sound. The sound is on the cherry and the cake case has pictures and/or words that contain that sound. The cake is my own design and each one is different. Each set has different shaped sprinkles in the icing.
