Revision sheet on the character of Roger in Lord of the Flies. Roger is the only main character who has not yet come up on an exam question for AQA. Could 2024 be Roger’s year? If so, this revision sheet will help prepare for this possibility. It contains detailed analysis of 8 key Roger quotations. The analysis is aimed at students aiming for grades 8-9. Ideas outside of the text such as references to Freud’s id and defence mechanisms along with Himmler are used to help meet the criteria for A03. Romeo and Juliet: 11 exams written in the style of the new spec for AQA 2017 Literature Paper 1. The questions have been structured to mirror the layout of the actual exam as far as possible. Ideal to use set as homework or to use as revision.

I have carefully selected 20 brief key extracts from the play. They are the 20 extracts I consider to be most likely to come up in the exam. To complete the revision activity, students must work out what is happening in each extract, analyse two key quotations and make links to context, themes and ideas. This booklet is helping my students revise for the closed book examination. There are 4 A3 sheets covering Acts 1-5. Of the hundreds Romeo and Juliet resources I have created, this is probably the most effective. Also includes a PowerPoint with suggested answers for each extract.
