T-Level Health Year 2 Occupational Specialism Assessment Supporting Adult Nursing Activity to guide students about the importance of building a detailed reflective portfolio using the Gibbs Reflective cycle.
Advice for students;
When building your reflective portfolio note the themes and the K&S points clearly at the top.
Collate these into an order you will understand, perhaps using folder dividers. This clear labeling will speed up finding and referring to them in your Assignment 3, you have only 45 minutes to prepare.
Relate aspects of the reflection to things like a specific part of the NMC code, the CQC 5 fundamental standards, legislation, policy and the 6C’s.
The Distinction descriptor ‘application of application of knowledge to practice.’

BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2 Health and Social Care Component 1 (2022 spec)- a complete teaching package to pick-up and run with.
This covers what the content for B1. Life Events; Health & Wellbeing and B2. Support that goes with the life events and the characteristic trait self-esteem and outlook
If you are following my SoW 2024-2025, this is Week 14, this now relates to PSA Task 3a (Life Event PIES) and 3b (Support) . There are homework tasks for both Level 1 and Level 2 which are adaptable to suit your need eg.date There are activities aimed at building up student notes to have with them in the PSA and capture understanding and can be referred to whilst students complete the PSA Controlled Assessment. There is the continued literacy support with useful vocabulary, again and a case study example PIES.
There’s a 39 slide presentation introducing life events to get students thinking to start with.
All the spec content relates to Life Event impacting on a person experiencing a point from the Health & Wellbeing category and suitable support. There is also points that guides students to considers personality impacting on coping strategies. If you are following my SoW 2024-2025, this is Week 15, this now relates to PSA Task 3a (Life Event PIES) and 3b (Support) . There are homework tasks for both Level 1 and Level 2 which are adaptable to suit your need eg.date There are activities aimed at building up student notes to have with them in the PSA and capture understanding and can be referred to whilst students complete the PSA Controlled Assessment. There is the continued literacy support with useful vocabulary, again and a case study example PIES.
All the spec content relates to Life Event surrounding relationship changes and is detail in the 41 slide presentation which has pause points for student contribution and breaks to complete their notes table which they can refer to in the actual PSA. There is a card match activity and a mock Task 3a and 3b which relates to divorce and marriage.
The content covered is:-
o entering into relationships
o marriage, civil partnership, long-term relationship
o divorce, separation for non-married couples
o parenthood
o bereavement
• resilience
• emotional intelligence
• disposition – a person’s character traits, e.g. positive, negative.
All the resources are in a format you can adapt to suit your need.

BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2 Health and Social Care Component 1 (2022 spec)- a complete teaching package to pick-up and run with. This covers what the content for A2.Cultural and the second half the A2.Social Factors
If you are following my SoW 2024-2025, this is Week 11, this now relates to PSA Task 2. There are homework tasks for both Level 1 and Level 2 which are adaptable to suit your need eg.date There is an activity to summarise learning and two task using the PEE exam answering technique to support the application of a case study to a cultural factor case study situation.
There is a 32 slide PIES development presentation which is applied to the spec range of cultural factors. There are several activities within the presentation to keep students engaged and pause points for contributions. The activities summarise points that will be easier to refer to in their PSA in January. With this in mind the homework tasks for both level 1 and level 2 students will build up understanding and again give students their own work/notes which can be with them when they are in their controlled assessment hours for Task 2.
The content covered is:-
Cultural factors:
o religion
o gender roles and expectations
o gender identity
o sexual orientation
o community participation
o race
And then discrimination, bullying and peer influence

There is also a Mock Progress exam style PSA for Tasks 1 and 2.
All the spec content relates to PIES development in a 40 slide presentation which has pause points for student contribution and breaks to complete their notes table which they can refer to in the actual PSA. The package covers the complete content for the part of the spec A2.Economic factors. There is a task which requires students to plan and use the PEE technique to help them form written answers

Environmental factors:
• employment situation
• financial resources – income, inheritance, savings
