Two PowerPoints focusing on the seasons autumn and winter. The PowerPoints include questions for the children to answer and facts for the children to learn about the seasons autumn and winter.
There are two sets of five worksheets - one set of five for autumn and one set of five for winter. The seasons worksheets include questions for children to answer about autumn or winter, fill in the missing words in sentences about autumn or winter, design a winter snowman or autumn leaves.
The PowerPoints and worksheets are aimed at Key Stage 1 children.

Maths Intervention/Booster
A Maths booster/intervention that can be printed off to create a booklet of activity worksheets for Early Years and Key Stage 1 children. The PowerPoint covers five weeks and covers a range of activities including number writing to 5 and then to 10, missing numbers, number recognition and representation using pictures and addition and subtraction using numbers to 5 and then numbers to 10.
I have used this activity to support children with their understanding of number and addition and subtraction and it has helped to boost their confidence when they return to class.
HFW Reading Intervention
A reading intervention that covers 100 high frequency words/HFW. The words are split into 13 sets with five activities for children to complete for each set. The activities are - read the words, find and colour the star words, match and colour words starting with upper and lower case letters, read the sentences including hfw and use the picture to fill in the missing word and read the sentences and draw a picture to match the sentences.
Please note that the sets do not contain equal numbers of words due to needing to construct sentences that make sense.
Sentence Writing Intervention
A sentence writing booster/intervention that can be printed off to create a booklet of activity worksheets for Early Years and Key Stage 1 children who are struggling with writing. The PowerPoint covers five weeks and introduces children to 35 of the 100 high frequency words/hfw. Each week covers reading the focus high frequency words, writing the focus words, cutting and sticking words to make a sentence and then writing a dictated sentence. I have used this activity to encourage children to write sentences with capital letters and full stops and to hold and repeat the sentence in their head.
The intervention helps children to gain confidence when they are writing sentences.
Aimed at Early Years and Year 1 children.
Introducing Money
A complete Maths lesson for introducing money and coins. The lesson covers the different coins and their value using pennies. There is an activity for swapping coins for a single coin to demonstrate that different coins can be used to make up different amounts and shows children that we need to add the amounts together and not simply count the coins. The lesson includes three differentiated money worksheets and a short plenary.
Money Activity Cards
A set of money activity cards covering coins only.
The cards are split into three sets - cards showing one dot work with coins up to 5p and values below 10p, cards showing two dots work with coins up to 10p and values below 20p and cards showing three dots work with coins up to 20p and values below 30p.
There are four activities in each set -

Reading Pictures - Developing Inference
A set of nine pictures with guided questions and example sentence openers.
The pictures and questions support children to develop inference. Each slide on the PowerPoint includes a picture for children to look at and talk about followed by questions that appear one at a time for children to think about. Each question is followed by an example sentence opener to encourage children to answer in full sentences.
My class have thoroughly enjoyed being reading detectives and through practise will now provide reasons and explanations for their answers. The PowerPoint can be used as a whole class activity or with small groups during guided reading sessions.

Finding Half Lesson
A complete Maths lesson for finding half of an amount.
The lesson covers finding half of numbers and half of different values of money. The lesson demonstrates how to find half and includes three differentiated worksheets and a short plenary.

The lesson demonstrates what doubling is and covers all doubles to 10 + 10. Number Bond Tests
A set of 14 colour coded number bond tests.
These tests cover making numbers to 5, making numbers to 10 and making numbers to 20. The tests can be used with a timer to check how secure children are with number bonds. Children enjoy working their way through the colours of the rainbow and if not secure then can repeat tests again and try to beat their previous score.

A set of high frequency word flashcards covering the first 100 hfw. The words are split into ten colour coded groups with ten words in each set meaning that the class can focus on ten words at a time. Each card shows the high frequency word in different fonts.

A set of hfw activity cards to practise writing and spelling the first 100 high frequency words. The 100 words are split into ten colour coded groups with ten words in each group. Each word has an activity card for children to practise writing the word and an activity card for the children to practise spelling the word.
Suitable for Early Years and Key Stage 1 children.
A sentence writing booster/intervention that can be printed off to create a booklet of activity worksheets for Early Years and Key Stage 1 children who need support to improve their writing.
The PowerPoint covers five weeks and introduces children to 34 of the 100 high frequency words/hfw. Each week covers reading the focus high frequency words, writing the focus words, using words to finish a sentence, joining sentences and then writing a sentence including a conjunction. There are 7 or 8 activity sheets for the children to complete each week.
I have used this activity to encourage children to improve their sentences using conjunctions.
The intervention helps children to gain confidence when they are writing sentences.
